An early match today in Russia - Shinnik travel to Rotor, who sit very comfortably in dead last. Their only home win was their first home match way back in April, since then they have managed two draws, but that's it.

Shinnik, on the other hand, have not managed any away wins at all, but have drawn 4 of 9 played, and have lost mostly to teams above them in the standings. Incidentally, last season, these two played to a 0-0 draw in this same match.

Pinny are offering Shinnik pk at 2.13, which seems a reasonable flutter to me. Rotor are dreadful, but could certainly manage the draw, while Shinnik will want to fianlly pick up some away points. With the draw, the most likely outcome, covered, a wager on Shinnik winning it is for me.

Plenty more to come later, especially in the German Regionalligen.

Gooooood luck!

Here are my thoughts for the German Regionalligen today - I would love to hear chriscol's views before booking these wagers:

I like one match only in the Regionalliga Sued, and that is Mainz 05 (A) hosting the VfB amateurs. The latter, after getting a 1-0 win at home to Siegen, have drawn blanks with 2 straight defeats, one at the hand of Darmstadt.

Mainz have lost one and won one, the win coming against the same Darmstadt side that put away the VfB side. Also, Mainz won this same match last year 1-0. The draw is a worry here, but I think Mainz can prevail here. I still have my doubts about this one, and may not book it at all - we'll see.

In the Regionalliga Nord, there are three matches of interest, none a sure bet, however, all with considerable risk.

Braunschweig host the Bremen amateurs, and this one gives me the most pause. Eintracht have been hot and cold, while Bremen have played some tidy defense, and the draw really worries me here.

The two I like more are:

HSV amateurs host St. Pauli: This is a city derby, and resulted in a 1-0 win for HSV with 2 red cards last season. I like Hamburg's present form, and unless I hear that Kucukovic is not playing, I think I'll take HSV here. The derby thing is the big unknown here.....

Paderborn visit the Koeln amateurs: Paderborn shocked the HSV Bundesliga side in the DFB Pokal over the weekend, and are playing well in general. Koeln have played well at home, and could get a point here at least. Form, and history, are on Paderborn's side, however......

For good measure, in Switzerland, Young Boys take on Grasshopper. YB took both of these matches last season, and while Grasshopper have started reasonably well, they are a mediocre side, and Young Boys may challenge for the league. I'll have the Young Boys here, thank you.

Goooooooood luck!

Thank you.

I have added two flutters on Arsenal, for obvious reasons not needing clarification, I trust: Arsenal to win at the half (actually, it's the -0.5 and -1 at 1.9 at Pinny), and Arsenal to win the match, at a lowly 1.235. A 23.5% return on a 90% plus probability isn't all bad!

Ugh - that's a tougher question than you may realize. Obviously the safest bet is the straight Arsenal win. However, since nothing is ever 100% safe, I will wager only the usual amount on this one, as I do on everything else.

From the others, I think I would take the Young Boys win over Grasshopper as my favourite in terms of most likely wager to win.

I have decided to book all 4 of the Regionalliga wagers I wrote about. So, today's tally in Germany is:

Mainz (A) over VfB (A) for 1.909
Braunschweig over Werder (A) for 1.833
HSV (A) over St. Pauli for 1.99
Paderborn away over Koeln (A) for 2.00

Very risky stuff - please evaluate carefully before deciding yourself.

Goooooooooood luck!
